There are many methods used to prepare a needs assessment which may include the following: an educational gap analysis survey of the target audience; previous program evaluations where attendees list topics of future interest; results of focus group discussion; expert opinion from national or regional Key Opinion Leaders; literature searches; or, target audience testing.
